Nothing good to report here I'm afraid. Little Sofia's cousin Jack keeps asking when Sofia is coming home (he thinks she is going to his home) and that is the million dollar question. Still no word from the Embassy and the refresh button on my e-mail is getting worn out.
To add to this, our agency called on Monday......yeah got me all excited, only to tell me that Sofia has bronchitis. They didn't have much more information than that so we borrowed the services of a Spanish speaking friend (thanks again A if you are reading this) and called Marta, Sofia's foster mother. She confirmed that Sofia did indeed have a "big cough" but was being treated and was going back to see the doctor on Wednesday (tomorrow). So, we know that she is being well taken care of but I've got to tell you, this being Mum thing is tricky. I am ready to get on a plane right now to take care of our girl in Guatemala until the Embassy issues that coveted PINK sheet. Never mind that I can'd speak a lick of Spanish!! We will hold tight for another couple of days to see what happens.
Clyde is back at school again.....kids tomorrow and our friends from L.A. are coming up to visit for the long weekend. That should keep us busy and entertained.
Watch this space.......measurements and photos are due this week.
