This weekend we were visited by Clyde's cousin, Loren. It has been a long time since we last saw him, the exact amount of time is still under debate, but let's just say it has been at least 10 years.
We went to Discovery Kingdom and rode the rides. Sofia wasn't too thrilled with most of them, but loved her trip on Thomas. Uncle Loren was a good sport and when he was the ONLY one who Sofia would give her chewed up snack to, he stepped up to the plate and took the soggy snack. I think Sofia was a bit smitten.
Today we just hung out and enjoyed the company of family, the warm sunshine and ice cream. What more could anyone ask for?

Toddler Idol
So when do you think they will allow two year olds onto American Idol? This little girl cracks me up. It was her very own idea to use a spike from this plant as a microphone. And I am not sure exactly what song this is. It started as the alphabet song but moved into something entirely different. Now it is just a case of working on the final moves and we should be set.

Chores
We spent some time today doing chores. Mainly, we were trying to get our outdoor furniture cleaned up and ready for some serious BBQing and relaxing. Sofia chipped in and did her part by cleaning up her little chair.
Nothing else to do really after all that hard work except sit back and enjoy a cheese stick.

Goofin' Off
We spent today goofing off in the front yard. Peter came over to visit and brought his bucket full of dinosaurs with him. These kids are so cute and are finally at an age where they even kind of play with each other. That is, of course, until the lady with the cookies showed up. It was all over then!!

Easter Fun
The Easter bunny visited our house yesterday morning and left Sofia a big basket of treats. Sofia's eyes lit up when she saw the basket. She said "Bunny! Chocolate!" and then proceeded to eat 6 chocolate kisses before I managed to wrangle the rest of them out of her basket without her seeing. Note to self.......only put as much chocolate in the basket as you are willing to have your child eat for breakfast. Apparently this is common sense - just not for me.
Gotta love the fact that Sofia is wearing her Halloween jammies opening her Easter basket.
The Easter Bunny also visited Sof's cottage at Geema and Papa's place. Mummy neglected to get a photo of Sofia in her pretty Easter outfit, she was in play clothes before I realised I missed the moment, so you will just have to take my word that she was all dressed up pretty at one point.
More kisses.

A Taste of Spring
On Sunday, we headed up the hill to the Amador Flower Farm for some sunshine, flowers and some serious running around. We saw fish and ducks and frogs in the pond and enjoyed lunch outside amongst the flowers.
We have had a bit of a rough week with a nasty flea infestation in our basement thanks to the neighborhood cat who had taken to sleeping downstairs, so it was a perfect escape. A spot of wine tasting on the way home before heading back home to our chores.
I am so glad that Spring and the warm weather are here and I think that Sofia agrees.

Sof's "Lye Lye" Dance
Sofia loves loves loves to dance. Every time she hears music she breaks into some kind of dance. She has been going to music classes with Geema and so we have listened to this one batch of songs more times than I can count. Thank goodnes a new class starts next week and we will get a fresh infusion of songs. Anyway, this is one of Sofia's favourites. Don't you just love the way that everyone has to get involved........even the rabbit.

Chopstickin' Chica
Clyde ordered Chinese food last night and brought it home for dinner. Sofia, always ready to get in on the act, especially where food is concerned, picked up Daddy's chopsticks and dug in. She did amazingly well and even got a couple of chopstick's full of noodles in her mouth. Do you think she looks proud of herself? Or maybe she is just happy to be hangin' with her Daddy? My guess is that both make her pretty happy.
