As promised last night, photos of our visit to Bishop Pumpkin Farm this weekend. We had a wonderful time and beautiful weather for our visit and came away with some pretty cool pumpkin loot.

I love the fall more than any other season. Seeing Sofia have so much fun picking out her pumpkin and then putting ir on the doorstep when we got home just puts a smile on my face. So here it is....pumpkin fun '09.

This Beautiful Face

It's late....so, so late on a Sunday night and I am going to pay dearly for staying up this late tomorrow morning. Oh how I am going to regret this tomorrow.

I have to go and move one little person from my bed and put her in her own since she crashed out with Daddy a couple of hours ago. Maybe I'll let them be and sleep in Sof's bed tonight.

I took so, so many pictures today at the pumpkin patch that the thought of blogging it tonight completely overwhelmed me. So instead, I picked my favourite snap from today, complete with shadow and all to post because quite simply, I never get tired of looking into these beautiful brown eyes.

Stay tuned for more pumpkin patch fun tomorrow.

Lil' Chef

Sofia decided to help Daddy make a salad the other night. She was very good at stirring and tasting and even managed to keep the white cardi white.

Showing us the "syrup" aka dressing.

The final taste test. Yip, good to go.

Dishing up. Bon Apetit!!

Sofia's Boys

Sofia is so lucky to have so many wonderful boys in her life who love her to the end of the earth. She loves them right back and this week she got to spend some time with a few of them.

A moment at the lake with Daddy.

Deconstructed Rabbit

So, Andrea and Chris had these awesome puppets for Sofia to make in her room (no glue required) and we finally put one together the other night. Apparently, it is much more fun to deconstruct one very carefully put together rabbit and "do it myself".

Road Trip

So we took the long weekend as a good opportunity to test Miss Sofia and MADGE out on a good long road trip and headed south to Los Angeles to visit our very good friends who were suffering through some pretty horrible fires in the hills right behind their house. It was our second forever and ever day with Sofia on Sunday (I know, can you believe it?) and we couldn't have had a better day together. It was all very relaxed and we enjoyed our beautiful girl, our awesome friends and all of their furry and feathered critters.

Heading out in Madge with a Tinkerbell coloring book and our sunnies.

Reconnecting with Chris. These two seemed to have their own silly communication.

And Gemma, sweet Gemma. This cat loved Sofia and she loved her right back. She kissed her and hugged her and Gemma put up with it all.

A bathtub fit for a princess.

Waiting for Andrea to finish work.

My handsome husband.....

.....and beautiful daughter.

Feeding the chooks. Sofia didn't quite understand why these chickens were not quite as friendly as the ones at the petting zoo and kept dissappearing inside their coop.

We visited the stars....

.....and the farmers market in Hollywood.

Whoops Daddy, we can't take you anywhere without having to clean you up.

Coco the bunny and Sofia spent some quality time on the bed.

Still more hugs and MORE KISSES.

There was a beautiful princess dress with wings waiting for Sofia in her bedroom. She sure does make a picture perfect princess (even with the candy that we had to bribe her with shoved in her mouth).

And more Chris and Sofia silliness. Takes one to know one, right?

And we ended our trip with some rockin' margaritas and grilled fish and corn under a somewhat smokeless sky. Andrea and Chris - thanks for the wonderful weekend and for being just the best friends we could ask for. We love you and think you should move up to Northern CA. Afterall, then you would have a built in critter watcher. SSSSSOOOOOO, what do you think about that?
