Yep! Yep! Okay!

This is too funny! I only wish I had the entire conversation on video....it went on for quite some time. I have no idea who was on the other end of the remote control that she was using as her phone. Where does this come from?

Mama's Good Ship ???

This is what Sofia got her Mama for Mother's Day (with a little help from her Daddy). I was so surprised and I can't wait until Sofia is old enough to hit the water with me. I am signed up for sailing classes in a couple of weeks but in the mean time this boat needs a name. And you neighbours.....if you are reading this, I will keep your suggestion in mind :-)

Fish, Chips and some Jazz Music

A day off together finally, and a chance to catch some jazz at the Jazz Jubilee followed by a fish and chip lunch overlooking the river.

Sof was on the move......happy to be able to stretch her little legs out and give them a good run around. She enjoyed the music as well.

Happy Day!

It's Official

Clyde is employed......for one more year! Phew! The Dom Perignon that has been chilling in the fridge for just such occasion is tasting pretty damn good right at this moment.

Miss Manners

I am so happy to report that our Miss Sofia has aquired some lovely table manners. I know that Sofia watches our every move these days. It's all about doing everything the same as Mummy and Daddy. Every morning now, Sofia and I put lotion on our legs. She loves to rub the lotion on her hands and then on each leg just the way Mum does it. So I can only hope that it is from us that she has aquired her beautiful manners.

We went out for a late lunch / early dinner today because Clyde had a gig tonight and this past week has been so chaotic with Clyde out every night, that we wanted to get at least one meal together. We sat outside......yes, outside in over 100 degree weather and ate our meal. And yes, that is sweat plastering Sof's hair to her face. Anyway, as we are sitting there, both Clyde and I see Sofia pick up her napkin and dab her mouth after she had finished a bite of grilled cheese sandwich. We looked at each other and then decided it was just a fluke. Well folks....no fluke. She did it over and over, after every few bites came a little dab dab around the mouth. One can only hope that she keeps a hold of these lovely manners in the years to come.

Picking flowers for Mum

I have a sneaking suspicion that this is going to be the best Mother's Day weekend ever. Just look at what I have to celebrate.....

Biker Baby

Sofia took her first bicycle ride with Daddy this weekend and neither loved it nor hated it. But, we did manage to get her on the bike with her helmet on, without tears. Hopefully, this will mean lots of family bike trips this summer to the park and where ever else our wheels will take us.

A Bet

My how life changes when you have a child. I was just saying to Clyde tonight, as we sat down to eat a wonderful BBQ'ed steak and salad with a glass of red wine "Wow....we are parents!" Sofia was in bed and for a moment it felt like old times, just the two of us with an evening together with dinner, a comfy couch and some good TIVO'ed TV to watch. Skip forward a couple of hours and something came up on TV that Clyde and I felt we needed to make a bet on. The stakes.......one of our girl's "super stinkers". I LOST......BUGGER!! Dirty diaper waiting for me at Clyde's choosing.

Anyway, here's a photo 'cause, well, you just can't get enough of a cute girl even if you can't see her face.
